My name is Sofia Crescenzo; I’m from Rome and was born in 2003. As a Communication Studies student, I see fashion as a space where aesthetics merge with storytelling and social impact.
Having worked in the fashion industry both in front of and behind the scenes, I bring together two perspectives: on the one hand, the eye of the model, attentive to detail and the craftsmanship of the garment on the body; on the other, the vision of the Creative Director, who constructs the message by creating a dialogue between her own narrative and the designer’s original idea, without distorting it.
This approach has been applied to the creative direction of ‘(S)parruccati’, a project launched with Rome Fashion Path and brought to Sant’Eugenio Hospital under the patronage of ASL RM 2. Coordinating a team of industry professionals, we used clothes and wigs as tools for reclaiming identity, with the aim of demonstrating how fashion expertise can generate a tangible social impact.
